Progress or rope Capture Devices

This is a great device, works by the cam locking on the rope, instead of teeth like the Petzl ones.

Pros: In terms of price it is cheaper than a Micro traxion. In my personal experience, I have used it without issue with 6mm tag lines (Specs mention 8 to 13mm). This even works with slings and the capture mode can be locked off for usage as a simple pulley.

The most commonly found and recommended device.

Pros: Easily available, high efficiency.

Cons: Pricey.

This is an emergency ascender. A very light weight option for rescue situations.

Pros: Light weight for emergency use, Small size.

Cons: Reputation as a rope shredder i.e., can damage ropes if used incorrectly.
